Daisie Foundation and National Latino Law Enforcement Organization (NLLEO) partner with Meijer at their annual Holiday Magic event

Bringing Holiday Magic to Life for Deserving Milwaukee Students

MILWAUKEE, WI — The Daisie Foundation (DF) exists to empower women and children in underserved communities. Since its founding in 2016, DF has dedicated their time to Milwaukee, Chicago, and recently Houston neighborhoods that need support, guidance, and ultimately love to get through each and every day. This holiday season, DF is teaming up with Meijer and a host of other sponsors to carry out their 6th annual Holiday Magic event at Allen Field Elementary School on December 16th, 2022. The event will consist of surprising the students with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, gift giving with help from the elves, and a holiday dance party. This year, the Milwaukee Brewers Foundation will surprise the students with the locally known and loved Racing Sausages, who regularly put on a show for Brewers fans during the 6th inning. This week alone, DF, NLLEO, and Meijer will have surprised 1000 children throughout Milwaukee and Chicago.

“The Daisie Foundation is honored to spread holiday spirit to the most deserving schools and first responders in Chicago, Houston, and Milwaukee. Despite the challenges with the pandemic, we feel even more empowered to spread kindness and be a light in the community, especially during a time that’s supposed to be joyful,” said Julie Hightower, a Daisie Foundation board member.

Sponsors for this year’s event include Meijer, Milwaukee Brewers, Panera, Molina Healthcare, Wantable, Lifeway Foods, Shiraleah, Penske Truck Rental, Towne Bank, Milwaukee Police Association, Benefit Cosmetics, Ambrosia Event Decorating, Daisie Project, and 99.1 Radio Station.
