Mother’s Day :: 150 Makeovers for 150 Mothers in Chicago

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, Daisie Foundation is back with their annual Mother’s Day Makeover event, to be held on May 8, 2017 at Chez (247 East Ontario St). Over 150 mothers and cancer survivors will be treated to a complete day of beauty, from eyebrow shaping and hair styling to manicures and full makeup. The festivities will begin at 2pm, and by the end of the day, each participant will also have a professional headshot, courtesy of Sonya Martin Photography.

But before we host this Mother’s Day celebration, a Leading Ladies Luncheon will be held at Chez Chicago on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:30pm, with all proceeds going to the Daisie Foundation’s Mother’s Day Initiative. This Pre-Derby Hat & Tea Luncheon will be hosted by Michelle Relerford, Weekend Anchor for NBC 5 Chicago News, and will include a spring fashion show hosted by WGN anchor Lourdes Duarte, as well as keynote speeches from Stacey Flowers, Katy Lynch, Jeannine Turner, MD, and Bela Gandhi. Sponsors of these events include Pangea Cares, Inspire All Media, M2 Boutique, Generation Bliss, Banana Republic, FemCity, Fashion Fair, Dress for Success, Chez, City Girl Events, Eliza J, Vale of Enna, The Chair Couture Inc., and Chicago Woman Magazine.
