The Daisie Foundation partnered with the Chicago Housing Authority for the second year in a row this Mother’s Day to celebrate the strength, beauty, and resilience of motherhood through our random acts of kindness initiative. Our organization treated more than 100 CHA resident moms to a day of relaxation and inspiration at ROW 24, featuring makeovers, styling, and empowering conversations with women. Attendees were treated to makeovers courtesy of sponsors including Benefit Cosmetics and Pin Me Up, while sponsors Meijer, Banana Republic, and Generation Bliss distributed brand new dresses for moms to try on in onsite styling rooms, and our professional photographers captured the transformations with before and after photoshoots. Moms also received cosmetic gift bags from Benefit Cosmetics, beautiful handbags by Shiraleah, and vouchers for tickets to see a Chicago White Sox game.

At the foundation, our mission is to provide women the opportunity to transform themselves inside and out. After a special lunch sponsored by Panera, attendees were treated to our Leading Ladies panel series. The discussion was moderated by Fox 32 anchor Tia Ewing, and featured input from powerful and empowering women, including Dr. Sarita Massey, National Medical Director at Molina Healthcare; Denine Pappalardo, Senior Vice President of U.S. Sales & Education for Benefit Cosmetics; and Pamela Morris-Thornton, Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Panera.
