Holiday Magic Outreach
Houston, TX
EVENT RECAP
This holiday season, The Daisie Foundation partnered with The Houston Police Department/Greater Houston Police Activities League (GHPAL) to surprise more than 400 students and 100 teachers and staffers at Osborne Elementary School in Houston. The event was hosted by Grammy-nominated rapper Paul Wall. Students at Osborne Elementary received a surprise visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, who brought along their helper elves to pass out gifts to the kids, as well as lunch from Dominos Pizza, and a holiday-themed dance party! The school also had special surprise visits from US Congresswoman Sheila Jackson and Mayor Sylvester Turner, and the Houston Astros Orbit mascot even stopped by to join in the celebration.
United in partnership, we were able to reach more children, spread more holiday joy, and brighten more futures at Osborne Elementary. Here’s what Principal Sandee Davis from Osborne Elementary School had to say about the event:
“The Sponsors and Special Guests set a true example of graciousness with their generous donations, gifts, food, and fun to each of our students and staff members. Your loving spirit and thoughtfulness to the Osborne Family was the missing piece that we needed to brighten our Holiday Spirits.”
The Daisie Foundation would like to thank our generous sponsors who helped make this event possible, including GHPAL, Dominos Pizza, Abbvie, Albermarle, Benefit Cosmetics, Chevron, Houston Astros, Houston Police Federal Credit Union, Lifeway Foods, Panera, Penske, Raising Canes, Shiraleah, Tea Cup Planning & Events, Visible Changes and Whataburger, as well as several anonymous donors.
