During the week of Mother’s Day, we honored 700 deserving mothers and first responders in Chicago through our “Meals for Moms” and “Random Acts of Kindness” initiatives. Our team distributed free gifts and catered meals to moms at five local hospitals and two women’s shelters during the week of Mother’s Day, thanks to the generosity of Raising Cane’s, Shiraleah, Benefit Cosmetics, and Sephora.

Additionally, we concluded our outreach efforts with a Mother’s Day celebration event, in partnership with the Chicago Housing Authority, 5 Loaves Eatery, Shiraleah, Benefit Cosmetics, Body Armor, Chicago Liposuction by Lift Body Center, Coiff Dew, ComEd, European Wax Center, Lifeway Foods, Luster Products, Mejier, Pink Pewter, and Snips of Success. Chicago Housing Authority resident moms were exclusively invited to the Charles Hayes Center to receive a bag of gifts, a delicious meal, and a chance to take beautiful pictures and connect with fellow residents.

The foundation celebrated 620 mothers and first responders in Greater Houston through its “Meals for Moms” program, in partnership with Raising Cane’s, McDonald’s-Bentham and McDonald’s-Smith Foundation, and Benefit Cosmetics. To further solidify our investment in the Houston community, the foundation hosted multiple pop-up events with gifts, “daisy” flowers, and catered meals at several locations from April 30th- May 2nd. This three-day outreach was just one of many events organized through our Mother’s Day Initiative, that focuses on spreading joy and providing resources to deserving mothers who reside or work in areas most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
