This holiday season, the Daisie Foundation partnered with Meijer and a number of other sponsors to host its fifth annual Holiday Magic celebration at the Alexander Mitchell Integrated Arts School in Milwaukee. Students at the school received a surprise visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, who brought along their helper elves to deliver gifts to the children, and staffers. The hard-working teachers at Alexander Mitchell were treated to lunch from Milwaukee staple Ian’s Pizza, and students and staff received a holiday dance party. The Milwaukee Brewers Foundation also surprised students with an appearance from the fan favorite Racing Sausages, a group of mascots who regularly race at the bottom of the 6th inning of every Brewers game and also tickets to 2022 season game.

The Daisie Foundation’s mission is to uplift women and children in underserved communities by providing them with opportunities for joy, celebration, and love. By surprising Milwaukee students with a holiday extravaganza, we hope to spread kindness and provide a light in a holiday season that may be especially difficult due to the pandemic. We were unable to host the event in 2020, and are so grateful to be able to give students the love they deserve this year.
