In 2020, we at the Daisie Foundation made the difficult decision to cancel our annual Leading Ladies Luncheon due to the pandemic. But we didn’t let this stop us from finding a way to make a difference in the lives of women in our community. We channeled our efforts into new activities that allowed us to continue our mission of service while observing social distancing guidelines.

On May 6, we distributed 540 gifts to deserving moms working on the front lines of the pandemic at Roseland Hospital, Jackson Park Hospital, and La Rabida Children’s Hospital. On May 8, Daisie distributed 260 customized toiletry items and gifts at Primo Center for Women and Children in Englewood and La Casa Norte Shelter in Humboldt Park. All gifts and toiletry items were generously donated courtesy of our partner Sugafina.
