Event Recap
Betsy Ross Elementary was honored with a Holiday Magic Experience that brought celebration, joy, and meaningful connection to 400 students and 100 teachers and staff. The day was filled with uplifting moments that reflected the heart of the season and the strength of the community.
Students were greeted by Santa, Mrs. Claus, The Grinch, elves, helpers, and guests who filled the school with excitement, high-fives, and festive fun. A holiday-themed dance party carried throughout the entire celebration, keeping spirits high from beginning to end. During the program, every student was surprised with multiple gifts, and teachers and staff were also recognized with thoughtful gifts in appreciation of their unwavering commitment.
The event was co-emceed by KHOU Evening Anchor Len Cannon and FOX TV Host Chelsea Edwards, whose warmth and energy helped bring the celebration to life. The experience also welcomed Chief J. Noe Diaz and The Honorable U.S. Congressman Sylvester Turner, whose presence brought encouragement and support to the entire school community.
The entire school was treated to a pizza party, and students received dinner to take home—extending the celebration beyond the classroom. Teachers and staff were honored with a special catered lunch, providing a well-deserved moment of recognition and care.
With the support of generous sponsors, volunteers, and partners including the Greater Houston Police Activities League and the Houston Police Department, the Holiday Magic Experience at Betsy Ross Elementary left lasting memories and reminded every student and educator that they are seen, celebrated, and deeply supported.
