On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the Daisie Foundation proudly hosted its Houston Mother’s Day Makeover Experience at Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Houston.

The Mother’s Day Makeover Experience is a community outreach initiative created to celebrate and uplift mothers through a day centered on encouragement, self-care, beauty services, and connection. Designed to remind women how valued and appreciated they are, the experience brought together community leaders, volunteers, beauty professionals, sponsors, and partners to create a memorable day for participating moms throughout Houston.

Throughout the event, mothers received professional hair and makeup services, gifts, lunch, and inspirational conversations in a warm and welcoming environment. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere reflected kindness, gratitude, and community as volunteers and supporters worked together to create a meaningful experience focused on honoring the strength and impact of mothers.

As part of the experience, the Daisie Foundation also hosted its Leading Ladies Panel Series moderated by ABC 13 Houston Anchor Samica Knight. The panel featured an inspiring discussion with influential Houston leaders including Lauren Jensen, Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking | Frost Bank; Alicia Wade, Regional Director, Area 172 | Starbucks Coffee Company; Lyris Leos, Vice President Consumer Brand Growth Marketing | Reliant, an NRG Company; and Kim Roxie, Founder | LAMIK Beauty. Their powerful insights and personal stories encouraged and inspired participating mothers throughout the afternoon.
