Event Recap
Howe School of Excellence was honored with a Holiday Magic Experience that brought joy, surprise, and celebration to 500 students and over 100 teachers and staff. The day was filled with unforgettable moments that captured the heart of the holiday season and created an atmosphere of warmth, care, and unity.
The experience included a special program co-emceed by Emmy-nominated NBC Chicago host Cortney Hall and national TV personality and former Chicago Bears player Anthony “Spice” Adams. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton made a surprise appearance, bringing inspiration and excitement that uplifted the entire school community. Celebrity guest Corey Hendrix, known for his roles on the hit shows The Bear and The Chi, also joined the celebration, helping to make the day even more memorable for students and staff.
Students were greeted by Santa, Mrs. Claus, The Grinch, elves, helpers, and special guests who lined the entrance with cheers, high-fives, and dancing. Throughout the celebration, the energy of a holiday-themed dance party carried through the room as students and staff danced, laughed, and celebrated together. During the program, every student was surprised with multiple gifts, and teachers and staff were also recognized with thoughtful gifts in appreciation of their dedication.
Lunch was provided for the entire school, offering a shared moment of joy and connection for students and staff.
With the support of generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and community leaders, the Holiday Magic Experience at Howe School of Excellence created lasting memories and reminded every student and educator that they are appreciated, celebrated, and deeply supported.
