Leading Ladies Panel Series, 2021 – virtual

In the midst of a world still navigating the effects of the pandemic, the power of connection and community found a new home—virtually. The 2021 Leading Ladies Panel Series was created to uplift and unite during a time when inspiration felt more essential than ever.

Held across February, April, and September, this special virtual series brought together remarkable women who shared their journeys with authenticity, strength, and heart. Each event took place twice in one day—morning and evening—to ensure space for more voices, more engagement, and more impact.

Guiding each conversation with warmth, poise, and thoughtful insight was WISN ABC Evening Anchor Diana Gutierrez, whose presence as moderator brought depth and connection to every moment.

February’s Panel featured Destiny Smith, McDonald’s Owner/Franchisee, Jill Gould, Vice President of Education and Brand Experience, Benefit Cosmetic, and Tiffany Cooley, Chief Marketing Officer, Wantable. Their stories offered light during a challenging season—reminding us of the power of purpose, creativity, and perseverance.

April’s Panel included Ximena Pena-Rogers, Chick-fil-A Owner and Franchisee, Melissa Washington, Vice President of Governmental and External Affairs, ComEd, and Debbie Roberts, Chief Operating Officer, Panera Bread. With wisdom and candor, they opened up about leadership, navigating change, and building impactful careers while staying true to their values.

September’s Panel wrapped the series with powerful insights from Dr. Glorimar Medina, Executive Vice President & Administrator, Ben Taub General Hospital, Rebecca Latacz, Vice President of Marketing, Raising Cane’s, Carvana Cloud, Deputy Director of Community Affairs Division, Houston Police Department, and Vanessa Hall, Manager of Field Relations, People’s Gas and North Shore Gas. Their reflections offered a powerful close to a year of meaningful moments, connection, and shared strength.

Created in response to the pandemic, this virtual experience quickly became more than a way to stay connected—it became a powerful space for meaningful conversations, authentic connection, and the celebration of women leading with grace and grit, even in uncertain times.
