Event Recap
Through its Holiday Outreach Initiative, the Daisie Foundation surprised students and faculty at underserved schools this past December with holiday celebrations that included gifts, snacks, a catered lunch for faculty, and other random acts of kindness.
Since the program began in 2017, the foundation has provided over 5000 gifts to 4,400 students in pre K through 8th grade and 500 teachers in the Englewood, Lawndale, and Little Village neighborhoods, often considered some of the toughest areas in Chicago.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Daisie Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in underserved communities by helping them seize brighter futures.
In 2019, the foundation expanded its efforts by bringing the annual Holiday Outreach Initiative to three deserving Chicago schools: Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School in Humboldt Park on December 17th, Ella Flagg Young Elementary School in Austin on December 18th, and Nicholson STEM Academy in Englewood on December 19th.
