McNair School of Excellence was honored with a Holiday Magic Express experience that brought joy, surprise, and celebration to every classroom. This one-of-a-kind format allowed students to experience the magic up close, with volunteers and guests visiting each room to spread holiday cheer.
Santa, Mrs. Claus, The Grinch, elves, helpers, and guests made their way throughout the school, bringing excitement, high-fives, and dancing into every classroom. Actor Corey Hendrix from the hit show The Chi joined in the holiday fun, alongside District 15 officers and top leadership from the Chicago Police Department, including Commander Carlin Morse—helping create memorable moments and showing students that their community is here to support and uplift them.
Students were surprised with multiple gifts during the celebration, and the entire school was treated to a pizza party that brought everyone together in a festive and joyful way. Teachers and staff were also recognized with thoughtful gifts in appreciation of the heart they pour into their students every day.
With the support of generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and community partners, the Holiday Magic Express at McNair School of Excellence created a celebration that reminded every student and educator that they are seen, appreciated, and deeply valued.
