Cousins Subs and Daisie Foundation Grant Allen-Field Elementary School’s Celebrate 10 Wish
On Friday, September 18, 2026, the Daisie Foundation returned to Allen-Field Elementary School in Milwaukee for another special milestone in our 10th anniversary Celebrate 10 Initiative: Ten Years. Ten Schools. Ten Surprises.
For Surprise #2, the Daisie Foundation joined Cousins Subs to grant a wish submitted by Allen-Field Elementary School Principal Fritz Blandon: lunch for the entire school community.
What Principal Blandon knew—and his students, teachers, and staff did not—was that months of planning had been taking place behind the scenes to make his wish a reality.
Throughout the afternoon, approximately 500 students and more than 100 teachers and staff were surprised with lunch provided by Cousins Subs, with generous support from Badger Ham and Tasty Breads International. As students entered the celebration, they were greeted by members of the Daisie Foundation and Cousins Subs teams, community leaders, and special guests who came together to make the day memorable.
And there were a few familiar faces waiting for them!
Subbie, the Cousins Subs mascot, and Sparky from the Milwaukee Fire Department joined the fun, greeting students, posing for photos, and adding even more energy to the surprise. Representatives from the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office and Milwaukee Fire Department also joined us in celebrating the Allen-Field school community.
Celebrate 10 was created to commemorate a decade of service by returning to schools that have been part of the Daisie Foundation’s journey and asking a simple question: What is one wish we can help make possible for your school community?
For Allen-Field, Principal Blandon’s wish was centered on bringing his entire school together—and Cousins Subs helped make it happen.
For 10 years, the Daisie Foundation has worked to create opportunities of hope for women, children, students, teachers, staff, and schools through compassion, service, and community. Celebrate 10 continues that mission by investing directly into deserving schools in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Houston.
