Holiday Magic Event to Surprise More Than 400 Students
The Daisie Foundation (DF) exists to empower women and children in communities with socio-economic challenges. Since its founding in 2016, DF has dedicated its time providing opportunities to Chicago, Milwaukee, and Houston neighborhoods in need of support, guidance, and ultimately love. The work is rooted in random acts of kindness. This holiday season, DF is partnering with Greater Houston Police Activities League, Houston Police Department, and a host of other sponsors to carry out their 5th annual Holiday Magic Experience in Houston at Lockhart Elementary School on December 5th, 2025. The event will consist of surprising 400 deserving students with a visit from Santa, Mrs. Claus, The Grinch, gift giving with help from the elves, and a holiday-themed dance party! A surprise special luncheon will be provided for all students and staff from Panera Bread. Since its inception, DF has been able to surprise over 15,000 students in 33 schools.
Here’s what Chandra Reed of Betsy Ross Elementary said about last year’s event:
“The event was truly extraordinary and brought so much joy to our students, families, and
community members. From the beautifully organized activities to the thoughtful details
that made everyone feel special, it was evident how much care and effort went into making
this celebration a success. Your generosity and dedication created unforgettable memories
that will be cherished for years to come.”
Sponsors for this year’s event include: Reliant, Panera Bread, Shiraleah, Raising Canes, Benefit
Cosmetics, Houston Astros, Banana Republic Factory, Elegant Chairs & More, Lite City, The
Haven (TX Events), Daisie Project, AbbVie, and Houston Police Credit Union.
About Houston Police Department-GHPAL
The Greater Houston Police Activities League (GHPAL) currently works with youth between the ages of 8-17. Our goal is to engage with the youth in educational, athletic and recreational activities. There are 15 Houston Police Department officers and one supervisor assigned to GHPAL. Fifteen divisions are represented and each officer is responsible for programming in their respective areas. We currently offer sports development programs year round, host summer camps and take the youth on field trips.
