Men on The Move Panel Series Event in Chicago, 2025

As part of this year’s Father’s Day Makeover Experience, the Daisie Foundation, Snips of Success, and the Daisie Project proudly presented the Men on the Move Panel Series—a powerful and inspiring discussion spotlighting fatherhood, leadership, identity, and perseverance.

Held at Row 24 in Chicago, the panel was moderated by ABC Anchor Jasmine Minor, who guided an engaging and heartfelt conversation with five respected leaders across law enforcement, education, medicine, finance, and mental health.

This year’s featured panelists included:

  • Commander Carlin Morse, Chicago Police Department
  • Dr. Steven Garzon, Pathologist & Residency Program Director, UI Health
  • Jesse “Kirby” Perez, Founder, Rising Tides Therapy and National Educator
  • Ronnie (Ron) Giles Sr., Banking Career Manager & VP, Old National Bank
  • Marvin Anderson, AM, LCSW, Manager of Behavioral Services, Molina Healthcare of Illinois

Each panelist brought their unique voice and life experience to the stage—sharing honest reflections on personal growth, fatherhood, resilience, and the many layers of being a man in today’s world. From mental health to community leadership, the conversation was both vulnerable and empowering.

The audience, made up of 120 deserving fathers—including veterans, single dads, and men overcoming medical or life challenges—was deeply impacted by the dialogue. Many expressed how meaningful it was to hear men of influence speak with transparency and authenticity about the real-life challenges they’ve faced. For many, it was the first time they felt seen, affirmed, and uplifted in such a public setting.

The Men on the Move Panel continues to serve as an emotional anchor for our Father’s Day Giveback efforts. It not only celebrates the men in the room but also creates space for real conversations about manhood, healing, responsibility, and the kind of legacy these fathers hope to leave behind.

We are incredibly grateful to our event partners for making this meaningful experience possible, including Molina Healthcare of Illinois, Old National Bank, Raising Cane’s, Meijer, Banana Republic Factory, Banana Republic, Larry’s Barber College, Peer Beauty, Pin Me Up, Mane Space, Penske, Row 24, and Beautyhood.

This panel will remain a vital part of our annual programming, as we continue to amplify the voices of men who are leading with purpose, compassion, and quiet strength—in their families and in their communities
