Bringing Holiday Magic to Life for Deserving Houston Students

Holiday Magic event to surprise over 400 students

The Daisie Foundation (DF) exists to empower women and children in communities with socio-economic challenges. Since its founding in 2016, DF has dedicated its time providing opportunities to Chicago, Milwaukee, and Houston neighborhoods in need of support, guidance, and ultimately love. The work is rooted in random acts of kindness. This holiday season, DF is partnering with Greater Houston Police Activities League , Houston Police Department , and a host of other sponsors to carry out their 4th annual Holiday Magic Experience in Houston at Betsy Ross Elementary School on December 6th, 2024. The event will consist of surprising 400 deserving students with a visit from Santa, Mrs. Claus, The Grinch, gift giving with help from the elves, and a holiday-themed dance party! A special luncheon will be provided for all students and staff. Since its inception, DF has been able to surprise over 13,000 students in 24 schools.

Here’s what Shanica Smith Mitchell of Ethel M. Young Elementary said about last year’s event: “I am truly impressed by the positive changes you bring about, and I want to thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many. The students we serve do not always have the best memories of holiday breaks or times during a season of giving or receiving. Your commitment to the holiday magic spirit is inspiring, and it’s clear that your team’s passion and hard work are making the world a better place.”

Sponsors for this year’s event include: Reliant, Kroger, Shiraleah, Benefit Cosmetics, Daisie Project, AbbVie, Raising Cane’s, Domino’s Pizza, Gatlin’s Fins & Feathers, Gatlin’s BBQ, Houston Police Credit Union, Visible Changes, Houston Astros, Panera Bread and Blossom Hotel.
