Event Recap
In partnership with the Houston Police Department (HPD) and the Greater Houston Police Activities League (GHPAL), the Daisie Foundation’s 2025 Holiday Magic Experience at Lockhart Elementary School transformed an ordinary school day into a joyful and meaningful celebration for students, teachers, and staff. Located in Houston, Lockhart Elementary was honored as part of the Daisie Foundation’s annual Holiday Magic initiative—an effort rooted in recognition, generosity, and care for school communities.
Students arrived expecting a traditional school assembly and instead were welcomed into a festive Holiday Magic celebration filled with excitement and holiday cheer. Music set the tone for a high-energy experience as students were surprised with gifts, celebrated alongside special guests, and welcomed beloved holiday characters including Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, and the Grinch. The experience was intentionally designed to ensure every student felt seen, supported, and celebrated.
A defining element of the Holiday Magic Experience is the care and intention behind the surprise. For nine months, the school principal protected every detail of the event, safeguarding the secret until the moment students and staff stepped into a celebration created just for their school. That commitment allows the experience to unfold with authenticity, excitement, and heartfelt connection.
Teachers and staff were recognized and celebrated during the Holiday Magic Experience, honoring the dedication, leadership, and care they provide to students each day. As part of the celebration, the entire school—including students, teachers, and staff—was surprised with lunch, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to ensuring everyone feels valued and appreciated during the holiday season.
When schools may not always be remembered during the holidays, the Daisie Foundation and its partners show up with purpose and heart—creating life-changing memories and lasting impact for school communities across Houston and beyond.
