The Daisie Foundation’s Holiday Magic Express at Lawndale Community Academy brought joy, celebration, and recognition to an entire school in Chicago’s North Lawndale community. Designed to reach every student, teacher, and staff member, Holiday Magic Express ensures that no one is overlooked during the holiday season.
Holiday Magic Express is a classroom-by-classroom surprise that brings the celebration directly to students and educators. Each classroom visit created moments of excitement and connection as gifts were delivered, allowing every student to feel personally seen and celebrated. The experience is intentionally designed to honor the entire school community, one classroom at a time.
Teachers and staff were recognized during the Holiday Magic Express event and throughout the classroom visits, honoring their commitment to supporting and guiding students each day. As part of the celebration, the entire school—including students, teachers, and staff—was surprised with lunch, bringing everyone together in a shared moment of joy and appreciation.
At the heart of Holiday Magic Express is the Daisie Foundation’s belief in showing up with consistency, care, and intention. When schools may not be remembered during the holidays, the Foundation and its partners step in to uplift students and educators through meaningful recognition and generosity.
Through Holiday Magic Express, the Daisie Foundation continues to create life-changing memories and lasting impact for school communities throughout Chicago and beyond.
