Surprising Two Chicago Schools with Gifts from Santa & Mrs. Claus

The Daisie Foundation Hosts Annual Holiday Outreach Initiative

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – CHICAGO, IL – Each December, The Daisie Foundation surprises students and faculty at an underserved school with gifts, a visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus, and other holiday treats. In the past, this 501(c)(3) nonprofit has served over 1200 students and 100 teachers in the Englewood and Lawndale communities with over 2,000 gifts. For 2018, the Foundation is doubling its efforts, bringing their annual Holiday Outreach Initiative to two deserving schools in the area.

Tuesday, December 18, 2018: Corkery Elementary School Wednesday, December 19, 2018: Perkins Bass School Time: 8:30-12pm

Prior to this event, on Sunday, December 16, 2018, the Foundation will also host its annual Gift Wrapping Party for volunteers to assist in wrapping presents and preparing for this exciting initiative. Each school will receive a truckload of wrapped presents for students between the ages of four and fourteen, all enrolled in Pre-K through 8th Grade classes. Santa & Mrs. Claus will host the festivities while faculty and staff enjoy a catered luncheon, complete with special gifts of their own.
