Holiday Magic event to surprise 500 students in Chicago’s Austin community
The Daisie Foundation (DF) exists to empower women and children in communities with socio-economic challenges. Since its founding in 2016, DF has dedicated their time to Chicago, Milwaukee, and Houston neighborhoods that need support, guidance, and ultimately love to get through each and every day. This holiday season, DF is hosting a special Holiday Magic Pop Up at McNair School of Excellence in Chicago on December 10th, 2024. This “surprise” event, sponsored by Meijer, is designed to be a day to remember, filled with joy and generosity. Students, teachers, and staffwill receive gifts, and there will be a special luncheon for the teachers and staff. Each classroom will be visited by Santa Claus and Santa’s elves, and treated to many other delightful surprises. Since Holiday Magic’s inception, DF has been able to surprise over 13,000 students in 24 schools.
Here’s what Principal NJ White of Henry O. Tanner Elementary had to say about DF’s Holiday impact: “ To have been a recipient of the outreach of the Daisie Foundation is a highlight of our school year. The dedication of the planning committee and their ability to operate in the spirit of excellence, enriched our entire experience. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to magnify the importance of community involvement through developing a relationship with the Daisie Foundation. The communal effort of our community partners will elevate our students’ academic achievement, increase their emotional intelligence and catapult them into success.”
