Daisie Foundation Hosts Annual Mother’s Day Makeovers
On Monday, May 6, 2019, from 8am to 3:30pm, the Daisie Foundation is giving 400 moms in the Chicagoland area a much-deserved day of pampering at the Swissotel Chicago with the help of local stylists, makeup artists, and fashion experts – all volunteering their services to match the kindness and generosity our mothers are known for. Many in attendance will be disadvantaged women, military wives or widows, even cancer survivors and those still battling the disease. The Daisie Foundation couldn’t think of a better way to show their appreciation for everything they do than with our annual Mother’s Day Makeover. This year, the event will begin in Chicago then continue in Milwaukee on May 8, 2019, where the foundation will serve an additional 200 mothers at the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel.
For this all-day event, participants can expect to receive a professional makeover, including hair and makeup, a new outfit to add to their summer wardrobes, and professional portraits by Sonya Martin Photography. Many of the women served have experienced so many different adversities and triumphed. The goal of this event is to celebrate them, which is why inspirational women of note will be featured, sharing their personal stories of struggle and empowerment to encourage all those in attendance.
