Daisie Foundation Presents the 2019 Leading Ladies Luncheon
On Sunday, April 28, 2019, from 12:30-2:30pm the Swissotel Chicago will welcome leading ladies from throughout Chicago to the Daisie Foundation’s annual Kentucky Derby themed luncheon.
Featuring the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Evereve, Megan Tamte, as this year’s keynote speaker, our annual Leading Ladies Luncheon will also include Tia Ewing from Fox 32 as our MC. Towards the end of our event, a number of leading women in the fields of media, law, business, finance, education, community development, and STEM will walk the runway during our fashion show hosted by Univision’s Erika Maldonado. We will also honor leading ladies in law, education, the culinary arts, and community with individual Leading Ladies awards. Shiraleah and Evereve will also be presented with Corporate Partnership Awards.
All proceeds from this event, which is the largest pre-Derby luncheon in the City of Chicago, will benefit our upcoming Mother’s Day Makeovers to be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 in Chicago and Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in Milwaukee. This year, the Daisie Foundation will provide 600 moms across these two cities with a much-deserved day of pampering through the help of local stylists, makeup artists, and fashion experts.
The sponsors for this year’s event include Swissotel Chicago, Kimpton Journeyman Hotel, Kirkland and Ellis, Wells Fargo, Shiraleah, Penske, Walter E. Smithe, Pangea Real Estate, Blue Light ABA Consultants, Marquee Events, PSAV, A Better Day with Julie, Matilda Jane, Benefit Cosmetics, Chicago Liposuction, Inspire All Media, Rachel Bires Photography, City Girl Events, Gap Inc., Eloquii, Banana Republic, Evereve, Style Room 326, Pink Pewter, Generation Bliss, Salon V, Le Calme Salon, Cage + Aquarium, Greenstar Paperie, Gather as you Go, Marketing Queen, Chicago Eco house, Sonya Martin Photography, and Vanille.
