The Daisie Foundation and 360 CHICAGO: Recap of a Special Holiday Bonus

Throughout the month of December 2018, TILT FOR KIDS at the 360 Chicago Observation Deck – one of Chicago’s top attractions – raised funds for at-risk children through an exciting collaboration with The Daisie Foundation.

As part of these efforts, the 94th floor was decorated with holiday décor in glittering shades of red, white, and green, and donations were acquired in three ways: through the revenue of TILT ticket sales for children ages three through eleven, proceeds from a specialty cocktail sold exclusively at Bar 94, and monies provided by guests with the help of special donation boxes available throughout the attraction. In addition, all children ages three through eleven were offered free admission on Sundays between November 25th and December 30th.

Nichole Williamson, general manager of the attraction, said that they hoped to “provide inspiration and opportunity for at-risk youth in our community and by supporting the Daisie Foundation, we can all assist in providing the support and encouragement for children to excel in these neighborhoods.”

As a result of our combined efforts, children from the at-risk Chicago neighborhoods of Englewood, Lawndale, and Little Village benefitted from this initiative, and were even invited to participate in a special tour of the observation deck. This provided a bird’s eye view of the sprawling city these children call home, inspiring them to dream bigger and brighter. All-in-all, 50 children were able to attend this unique tour of the building; however, even more will benefit from the far-reaching results of this collaboration.

The Daisie Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing opportunities for under-resourced women and children in Chicago and beyond. And through our collaboration with the 360 Chicago Observation Deck, we were able to spread our message of hope, renewal, and empowerment even further and from greater heights.
