CHICAGO, IL–On Monday, May 7, 2018, the Daisie Foundation is giving 250 moms in the Chicagoland area a much-deserved day of pampering at the W Chicago – Lakeshore with the help of local stylists, makeup artists, and fashion experts – all volunteering their services to match the kindness and generosity our mothers are known for. Many in attendance will be disadvantaged women, military wives or widows, even cancer survivors and those still battling the disease. The Daisie Foundation couldn’t think of a better way to show their appreciation for everything they do than with our annual Mother’s Day Makeover.
For this all-day event, participants can expect to receive a professional makeover, including hair and makeup, a new outfit to add to their summer wardrobes, and professional portraits by Sonya Martin Photography. Our partner, Julie Hightower of A Better Day with Julie, adds that “Many of these women have experienced so many different adversities but they have triumphed, and we wanted to celebrate them.”
The sponsors for this year’s event include W Chicago – City Center Hotel, W Chicago – Lakeshore Hotel, A Better Day with Julie, Lifeway Foods, Inc., Windsor’s Lift Body Center, Inspire All Media, Words by Sørensen, Sonya Martin Photography, M2 Boutique, Mane Space, City Girl Weddings & Events, The Frock Shop, Lord & Taylor, Eloquii, Banana Republic, Generation Bliss, Salon 1800, Le Calme Salon, Cage + Aquarium, Essie, Chicago Woman Magazine, Vanille, Chicago Ave Salon, KS Style Consulting, Masine & Co., All Dressed Up with Nothing to Drink, Benefit Cosmetics, Priv, and Bliss.
